Trends and sounds
Read the TikTok trending feed, trend boards and sounds, YouTube Trending Shorts, and the Instagram reels that use an audio track.
Every call reads live from the platform. Lists carry a cursor, or a page and hasMore on the boards.
Trending feed
This feature is available on demand (opens in a new tab).
- TikTok. Input: region. Returns the videos on the trending feed: id, description, time posted, counts, author handle, music title and whether the sound is commercial. The region gives the feed as it appears from that market; it is the view from that market, not a filter by it.
- YouTube. Trending Shorts. Returns the Shorts that are trending.
Trend boards
This feature is available on demand (opens in a new tab).
Four boards, each a separate call for TikTok. Input for each: a country code and a period of 7 or 30 days; hashtags also take 120.
- Hashtags. Name, post count, views, rank, rank change, industry and the trend over time.
- Videos. Id, title, URL and country.
- Creators. Name, country, follower count, like count and TikTok link.
- Songs. Title, author,
clipId, rank, rank change and the trend over time. Can take up to 30 seconds.
Sounds
This feature is available on demand (opens in a new tab).
Keyed by clipId, not the song id. Three calls for TikTok:
- Sound details. Input:
clipId. Returns title, author, album, duration, user count, whether it is original or commercial, and theme tags. - Videos using a sound. Input:
clipId. Returns videos with counts and author. - Sound search. Input: keyword. Returns
clipId, title, author, duration, whether it is original or commercial, language, and a total.
Audio usage
This feature is available on demand (opens in a new tab).
- Instagram. Input: audio id. Returns the reels that use the track: shortcode, time posted, caption, username, and play, like and comment counts.
